RNHA Salutes the Historic
Service of Senator Mel Martinez
Republican
National Hispanic Assembly
Chairman Alci Maldonado praised
outgoing Republican National
Committee General Chairman Mel
Martinez for his leadership and
legacy as the first Hispanic
American at the helm of any
major U.S. political party.
"Senator Martinez has been an
exemplary leader and trailblazer
for the Republican Party and for
our nation's Hispanic
community," said Vargas. "His
legacy will continue as more
Hispanic Americans come to the
realization that the Republican
Party represents the best
interests of the nation, and of
all communities striving to
achieve the American dream,"
Vargas declared.
As General Chairman of the RNC,
Senator Martinez greatly
enhanced the Party’s financial
position and served as an
eloquent and powerful spokesman
in articulating the Party’s core
values on vital national issues.
"My colleagues and I in the RNHA
applaud Senator Martinez'
visionary leadership and service
in the United States Senate and
wish him and his family great
success as he continues to focus
his energy on serving his
constituents in Florida "
concluded Vargas.
The
mission of the Republican
National Hispanic Assembly is to
build a membership organization
to foster the principles of the
Republican Party in the Hispanic
community, provide Hispanic
Americans with a forum to play
an influential role in local,
state, and national Party
activities, increase the number
of Hispanic Republican elected
officials, and create and
maintain a network of Hispanic
Republican leaders.
