The Minnesota Chapter Of The RNHA Advices Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty On Immigration Issues

 

 

On January 12, 2006, the Minnesota Chapter of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly met with Governor Tim Pawlenty to discuss immigration issues. 

Isaac Contreras, Rick Aguilar, Victor M. Gomez, and Juan Carlos Ruiseñor advised the Governor on challenges and opportunities of legal and illegal immigration. 

In 2004, Governor Pawlenty appointed current Minnesota RNHA Chairman, Rick Aguilar, to the Twin Cities Metropolitan Council.  Today he is one of the Governor’s closest advisors on the issue of immigration.

Poll Shows That 69% Of Hispanics Approve Of Him*

 Although Governor Tim Pawlenty may not be the ideal candidate for many, Hispanics in Minnesota show an overwhelming support according to a recent Survey USA’s Tracking Poll, who consider him genuine and likeable. 

Pawlenty’s administration has come with controversies, challenges and opposition. Yet, Polls praise his recent initiatives and they way he has handled issues even within the Hispanic community. 

Pawlenty has been promoting legal immigration acknowledging the importance of immigrants to the state’s economy. This may just be why Hispanics support his political efforts.
