Robert Spindell, Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin's 4th
Congressional District (Milwaukee), recently announced in an exclusive interview
with El Conquistdor's editors, that the Republican Party will begin organizing
two Wisconsin chapters of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly.
Spindell, who just returned from a Washington, D.C. four day annual meeting
of the RNHA, said, "It is a priority and major objective of the RNHA to
establish both State of Wisconsin and City of Milwaukee RNHA organizations to
bring together the shared values of all Hispanics and conservative Republicans."
According to Dr. Pedro Celis, National Chairman of the RNHA, "The
Hispanic population in the state of Wisconsin continues to boom. According to
Census estimates between 2000 and 2004, Hispanics represented 30% of all
population growth in Wisconsin in that period.
Exit poll data shows that 47% of Hispanics that voted in the 2000
presidential elections in Wisconsin voted for the re-election of President Bush.
(source

44% of Hispanics voted for the president.
The purpose of the RNHA is to serve as a bridge between the Hispanic community
and the Republican Party. The RNHA is a membership organization governed by its
members independently from the Republican Party. We engage in three activities:
(1) to recruit and train Hispanic and Non-Hispanic Republicans to help elect
candidates that reflect our conservative philosophy; (2) to increase the number
of Hispanics serving in public office; (3) to establish policies and positions
of interest to the Hispanic community and seek their implementation.
Even though Hispanics represent only 3.6% of the total population in Wisconsin
they represent at least 8.8% of the population in Milwaukee County. (Source

Hispanics continue to be an increasingly important cog in the wheel of
American prosperity and I look forward to having the Wisconsin RNHA play an
important role in engaging conservative and all other Hispanics in the political
process of government by the people, for the people and of the people", said
Celis.
Spindell also said, "A Republican Hispanic presence is critical in the next many
elections because experts project that Republican Hispanics will make the
difference as to outcomes in this state and in the nation.
Announcements will be made soon as to when organizing meetings will take
place in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin; interested parties should call
414-276-6331 as soon as possible. We are aggressively seeking Hispanics to run
for public office and/or join the RNHA."
